Currently serving as the Food Service Director at AdCare Rhode Island’s residential treatment center in North Kingstown, Sharon Martinez brings over two decades of extensive experience in the food service industry, coupled with an equally impressive 20+ years dedicated to addressing behavioral health, addiction, and co-occurring disorders.

In addition to her expertise in food service management, she possesses additional experience in substance abuse counseling and discharge planning. This unique combination allows her to contribute not only to the physical well-being of those under her care but also to their overall mental health and recovery.

One of Sharon’s notable achievements is her leadership role in the Preserving Families Network program, where she served as a supervisor in collaboration with the State of Rhode Island’s Department of Children, Youth, and Families and the Rhode Island Drug Court.

She holds a master’s degree in the administration of justice and homeland security, showcasing her commitment to understanding the broader contexts that influence behavioral health and addiction issues.
