Kara has been with AdCare Hospital since 2019 and currently serves as nurse manager. As nurse manager, she is responsible for managing a 26-patient healthcare unit that provides detox and management of comorbid medical and psychiatric diagnoses. Kara also serves as a clinician on call and nurse supervisor at AdCare Hospital, where she oversees the entire nursing department personnel. She was nominated for the Eunice Roddy Award for Excellence in Patient Care at AdCare Hospital.

Kara graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor’s in psychology in 2008, and then received an Associate’s in Nursing from Quinsigamond Community College in 2018. She is a registered nurse who is licensed to practice in the state of Massachusetts.
