Our Substance Use Treatment in New England

Our services encompass the entire continuum of care, ranging from initial assessments and detoxification to outpatient therapy and aftercare support. However, it’s important to note that we do not offer sober living facilities directly; instead, we collaborate with several of our sister facilities that specialize in sober living environments. These facilities are designed to provide a supportive community for individuals who wish to maintain their sobriety while transitioning back to everyday life. Our commitment is to ensure that clients receive the appropriate level of care tailored to their unique needs throughout their recovery journey.

The medical detox and inpatient addiction treatment programs will generally be the most intensive, while outpatient rehab programs, like our intensive outpatient program (IOP), will be somewhat less so. Outpatient therapy programs, particularly those at higher levels like partial hospitalization and day treatment, provide a comprehensive array of services that closely resemble those found in inpatient treatment settings. These programs typically include structured therapy sessions, both individual and group, designed to address various mental health conditions. Participants engage in intensive therapeutic activities during the day and return home in the evening, allowing them to maintain some degree of normalcy in their daily lives while receiving essential support. Outpatient addiction treatment is a type of rehab patients attend during the day or in the evening while residing at home. An outpatient rehab program may be the right choice for someone who does not require 24-hour care.

It is common for patients to move between levels of care as their treatment plan changes over time. Many transfer to an outpatient program from a more intensive level of treatment such as medical detox or inpatient care.

All AdCare outpatient locations offer a standard outpatient program and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). AdCare’s outpatient facility in Worcester, MA, also offers day treatment. This is a more intensive outpatient level of care that is known as a partial hospitalization program outside of Massachusetts.

A standard outpatient program typically involves attending treatment 1-2 times a week. This may involve individual therapy or group therapy sessions depending on your treatment plan.
