AdCare Rhode Island Statement on Fire at North Kingstown Location

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (April 19, 2021) – A fire broke out shortly before 6 a.m. at AdCare Rhode Island’s North Kingstown location, an inpatient treatment facility. There were 51 patients and staff in the building at the time. All patients and staff were safely evacuated from the facility with no injuries reported. The safety of our patients remains our top priority. We are working closely with state and local partners to facilitate continued care for our patients. We want to thank our first responders for their quick response. As a result, our building sustained only partial damage. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
