With over three decades of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, Ellamarie McMullen brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as a counselor at AdCare’s residential treatment center in Rhode Island.

Ellamarie is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She earned her BA in psychology from the University of Rhode Island, followed by a Master of Social Work degree from Rhode Island College.

Before moving into the field of addiction, Ellamarie’s career focused on mental health and child protection services, through which she gained invaluable experience working with individuals and families facing complex challenges.

Today she remains driven by a passion for helping others overcome addiction and providing comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals with substance use disorders.

She finds immense satisfaction in witnessing their progress and resilience as they embark on their journey toward a healthier life. The daily triumphs and transformations she observes fuel her dedication to this meaningful work.
