The AdCare Rehab Alumni Program

Despite completing a treatment program, it is important to remember that the journey is not over. Most individuals who are fresh in their recovery still have several needs, including the need for continued support from people who understand.

Our alumni team know that the recovery journey is filled with both opportunities and struggles, and we are here to walk the path with you.

Community of Alumni Recovering Everywhere (CARE)

Those who have attended AdCare treatment programs are invited to participate in the AdCare alumni program, known as Community of Alumni Recovering Everywhere (CARE). Our alumni community is one that is highly supportive and empowering, where all members can share their own stories and experiences, be a source of support for others (and obtain support for themselves, too), celebrate milestones, talk about life after rehab, and much more.

Our CARE program is designed to forge and maintain connections between individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. Some of the main features of our CARE program include:

  • Alumni events.
  • Alumni meetings.
  • Access to the AAC Alumni App.

Our Alumni App: Your Recovery Connection

Our Alumni App, known as Connections, is a free and confidential recovery app that can help provide additional support to alumni once they have completed treatment with us.

The alumni app offers a variety of features to former patients, including:

  • Keeping a gratitude journal.
  • Reading recovery-related content.
  • Participating in wellness challenges.
  • Tracking progress toward recovery goals.
  • Obtaining support from peer engagement specialists.
  • Getting and staying connected to a supportive community of alumni.

AdCare Virtual Alumni Meetings

AAC hosts weekly meetings where all members of the AAC alumni community can gather together to connect over the process of recovery. In these meetings, alumni can share their recovery experiences and offer support to others.

Alumni Events & Outings

Each quarter, the alumni program will host events and/or outings. Some of these can include activities such as:

  • Baseball games.
  • Alumni bowling.
  • Sober tailgating.
  • Themed events (such as fall trips to a pumpkin patch or holiday events).

Check out our events page for more information on upcoming events.

How Alumni Programs Benefit You

Alumni programs have proven to be highly beneficial to people in recovery. Studies show that those who maintain strong social support networks have better recovery outcomes, a minimized risk of relapse, and a greater chance of sustaining recovery.1,2 An increase in self-esteem, confidence, and ability to cope with challenges are also proven benefits of support networks like CARE.2

Learning how to live life in recovery is not as simple as some may think. Rebuilding your life after active addiction requires time, patience, and consistent support. At AAC, you can count on our alumni programs to be there for you as you navigate this time in your life. We are honored to be there every step of the way.
