The North Brookfield Substance Use Task Force is holding free community informational session, “Opioids 101: What You Need to Know,” Thursday, July 28th from 7:00 – 8:30 PM at the North Brookfield Police Station.
AdCare’s Treatment Director Susan Hillis, LICW and Nursing Supervisor Karen Levinson will talk about opioids and substance use disorders:
• Facts vs. myths
• Signs and symptoms of an SUD
• Signs and complications from an overdose
• Withdrawal symptoms
• Treatment options
• How to encourage someone to seek treatment
A Q&A session will be held after the presentation.
